Endocrinology & Reproductive Medicine (COM 1842)

Disorders that result in hyper- and hypo-secretion of major endocrine glands are presented, and the clinical manifestations that result are discussed. The pathophysiology of the hypothalamic pituitary axis, adrenal, thyroid, parathyroid, and endocrine pancreas are emphasized. Additionally, this course will include overview of general obstetrics and the pathophysiology and clinical presentations for a wide spectrum of gynecological disorders. The pathophysiology and clinical manifestation of major male reproductive pathologies are also presented.
